Christopher Ganer , Born in Leipzig around 1750 dying in London in 1811.
Maker of Harpsichords, spinets, and pianos. Ganer came to London from Leipzig about 1774. At this date he maintained a shop at 22 Broad Street, Golden Square, one of several he had in different locations on the same street. ![]() His pianos are especially elegant and carefully made. Dow points out that Ganer was perhaps the only maker of square who bothered to have double stringing inside the lids. He was one of the legendary group known as the twelve Apostles.!
