Pleyel Pianino serial number 6269 year 1837 Exposition of Art 1839 Paris ![]() Through our many years of hard work, we have found one of the Largest and most important pianos by many famous Makers of early pianoforte! Many of these being Exhibition pianos! Here once again we have come across a rare find! The photos are of a Sculpted Rich model of Pianino made by Ignace Pleyel serial number 6269 finished in March of 1837. We find that this same Pleyel Pianino shows up again in the Exhibition of 1839 in the Journal of Industry and its useful arts. We find this Pleyel Pianino displayed ,not just a musical instrument, but also a piece of Art! Le Bouteiller, Ch. Éditeur scientifique, draws us a sketch of said Pianino Pleyel in 1839 : "Dans un de nos précédent numéros, à propos d'un piano de structure différent, nous parlions de la vogue de cet instrument en général, et nous citions cette observation d'un Poëte : ce ne seraite pas là que nous voudrions consigner celui-ci, par la richesse et le bon goûtde sa décoration, comme par la graceet l'harmonie de ses proportions, il est appelé à prendre place. A Rare model indeed, being that this model is the first of a rare experimental model made by Ignace Pleyel and Cie in the year 1845 - Serial number 12051 ![]() This is one of only three that were made in this year and is at this time, the only one known to exist. 7 Octaves having three cord per note.! In 1829 Camille Pleyel had a closer look at the Roller & Blanchet upright piano and was inspired to construct his own proper model! The first examples of these new model "Oblique- form Lyra"...
