Pleyel Pianino Seial No. 13481 - Year 1846 ![]() According to our archives, the pianino serial number 13481 Model E is a rare model. To our calculations, only 20 of these famous models were made during the Chopin period. This is the first time we have come across this model other then the one that was donated by Professor William W Langebartel to the Chopin Foundation USA in Florida. ![]() Being only 74 serial numbers away from the one that Chopin chose for his Student, Mme Reymont, this is an unusual find for us. We are currently searching our archives for more information about this Small Beauty of Ignace Pleyel. ![]() Historical History on piano: Shows Acajou Caillouté Case Fronton, perles, consoles sculptés Started 20/09/1846 finsihed 17/04/1847 Pianino was used for a few years as a rental for Pleyel then sold in 1849 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Chopin Foundation USA is now the owner of the Pleyel pianino piano, model E #13555, built in 1847 in Paris. Shipped from Paris to the Reymont home in Romania, in the mid-twentieth century it was then sent to Milan, Italy, to be sold. Bought by Stephen B.
